Meet the Publisher

Michele Maxfield

Publisher, Uniquely You Southwest Florida

Born and raised in Michigan, I’ve been married to my husband, Tim, for nearly 30 years and am the proud mother of two sons: Devin, who works in supply chain management in Chicago, and Connor, my youngest, who has a rare disease that affects him cognitively and physically. Connor’s journey has become the heart of my personal and professional mission.

With over 25 years of experience in the media industry, I’m deeply passionate about Uniquely You magazine and am thrilled to be supporting the special needs community. Over the past five years in Florida, our family has seen significant improvements in Connor’s health and stability. He thrives when out in the community by my side, and this experience continually fuels my commitment to connection and advocacy.

I also find purpose in working alongside local members of the Southwest Florida community to showcase inspiring stories, highlight vital resources, and support partners in reaching their ideal audiences. I'm excited to continue to grow relationships and expand Uniquely You in SWFL and throughout the country, honoring its mission to Celebrate, Connect, and Impact.
